Travel in style.   This is the no hassle whale watch trip.  You walk out to the plane, sit down, buckle up and the adventure begins.  Before you know it the plane has crossed the border and you are beginning your descent for customs clearance into Mexico.  This routine stop generally takes 30 or 40 minutes.  Then back in the air and a brief 1 1/2 hour to 2 hour flight gets you to the final destination.  We love taking this trip!

Someone mentioned to me that one of our competitors who flies into San Ignacio Lagoon told them whale watching is better there..    Well I consider whale watching there to be second to our location.  View this page for a comparison. Additionally, lodging there is in tents or in wood shelters that are referred to as cabanas, but have no water or electricity.  There are two companies that I know of flying into San Ignacio during whale watching season.  One flies 25 people at a time using a DC-3.  The FAA estimates the average age of remaining DC-3s operating commercial anywhere in the world to be 62 years old.  The last one came off the production line in 1947.  These are  very old planes.  Even if they have new engines.  The second company drives you by van from the U.S. to the Ensenada airport.  From there you continue by air, flying in a plane that is Mexican maintained and registered.  I am extremely comfortable flying in our modern, U.S.A. maintained airplanes. A short 2 hour airtime hop from the USA to Guerrero Negro where the best whale watching activity to be found anywhere in the world takes place every day from January 1st to mid-April
