How is this trip different than our gray whale trips?  On this trip our primary mission will be to place your boat in a position that will encourage the type of close contact you are looking for.  On our trips we attempt to see all the various whale behaviors that are taking place at that time.  If for example we spot a mating group of whales in the distance, our boat will normally move in that direction.  Observing mating activity is exciting, but normally doesn't lead to a close encounter because the whales are far more interested in each other than they are in us or our boat.  Also this trip is of course two days longer.  The added two days help to ensure that we will have good weather during at least a portion of your trip in the unlikely event that a rain or wind storm should move through the area.  These infrequent winter storms normally only affect whale watching for a day or two.

       Although we removed our Guaranteed To Touch A Wild Whale trip from our schedule, the fact remains that since starting this business in 1994 every group of four or more who has traveled with us on a five day trip has had the opportunity to touch a gray whale!  No other tour operator anywhere in the world can come anywhere close to matching our record.

Please note: On December 9, 2006 Keith was advised that the Administrators of the Vizcaino Biosphere Reserve did not want him to mention whale petting in his advertising.  We respect the regulations of the Reserve and HAVE ALWAYS adhered to the rules as we know them.  Out of respect for the Reserve all references to our "guarantee to touch a whale" have been removed from our website.  If you have any questions about this or any other issue Keith is always available and willing to talk or email with anyone.

Baja Jones offers this money back guarantee because we are absolutely confident that we can provide the experience as we have detailed it in our brochures and on our web site.   Read this guarantee carefully.  To our knowledge we are the only experienced whale watch tour operator anywhere in the world who can and does offer a money back guarantee that you will have the opportunity to touch a wild whale.

We guarantee that you will have the opportunity to touch a wild whale.  Here are the conditions that might occur to fulfill our promise. The occurrence of Any one of these conditions will qualify under this limited guarantee as Baja Jones satisfying our guarantee for your "having had the opportunity to touch a wild whale".

1.  If any person on the  boat that your group is on touches a whale during the five days of whale watching.

2.  If any whale comes up to the boat and touches or rubs against any portion of the boat, this will constitute "your having had the opportunity to touch a wild whale"

3.  You must go out on the whale watching boats for every trip offered to you.  If you fail to go out on all trips offered this guarantee is completely null and void.  We reserve the right to offer more trips out on the water than we have listed in our sample itinerary.

This limited guarantee is only valid during our 7 day February 28th to March 6th trip.  Keith believes that our whale watching trip experience involves much more than just the simple act of touching a wild whale.  That is why we will not promise touching on the other trip dates.  There are other behaviors that are incredible to watch and we want people to have the opportunity to see all that they can.  In the unlikely event that your group does not touch a whale as outlined in this guarantee we will refund to you $1,400 of your total trip cost.  To receive the money back as promised herein you must complete all of the following actions precisely as listed.

1.  While still in Guerrero Negro and following the last whale watching trip on day #6 you must advise Keith that you want to receive the refund as promised. 

2.  He will write a simple note stating that you haven't had the trip experience promised(no touching as defined in this guarantee)   and he will sign and date that note and give it to you.

3.  You must mail a copy of that note, along with your written request stating that you want a refund to our USA address upon your return home.  Your refund will be made within 2 weeks of receipt of the request.

4.  Keith does not handle payments or sign up processing while in Mexico.  He does not have the data available to process a refund in the unlikely event that one should be needed.  You must follow the procedure precisely as outlined here to receive a refund. 

While on any 4 to 6 day whale shark with Baja Jones your group will observe at least one whale shark during the trip.  Many factors play a part in whether or not you will actually get to see a whale shark through a diving mask while swimming or snorkeling in the water.   It happens that one person will be in the exact great position where the shark will almost swim in to them.  While another person may be separated by 20 or 40 feet and fail to actually see the animal as it swims by.

We guarantee that our group will spot a whale shark.   What happens from there is up to nature, luck and the whale shark.

In the unlikely event that we do not see a whale shark during the trip Baja Jones Adventures will refund $300 of your full fare trip price.

To receive the money back as promised herein you must complete all of the following actions precisely as listed.

1.  While still on the trip and following the last whale shark boat trip  you must advise Keith that you want to receive the refund as promised. 

2.  He will write a simple note stating that you haven't had the trip experience promised(no whale shark sighting as defined in this guarantee)   and he will sign and date that note and give it to you.

3.  You must mail a copy of that note, along with your written request stating that you want a refund to our USA address upon your return home.  Your refund will be made within 2 weeks of receipt of the request.

4.  Keith does not handle payments or sign up processing while in Mexico.  He does not have the data available to process a refund in the unlikely event that one should be needed.  You must follow the procedure precisely as outlined here to receive a refund. 

5. This money back limited guarantee only applies to full fare clients.  If your  trip cost has been discounted for any reason whatsoever, then this guarantee does not apply to you.

Blue Whale trip guarantee, Loreto & Puerto Vallarta

While on any 4 to 6 day Blue whale trip with Baja Jones your group will observe at least one cetacean during the trip.  Many factors play a part in whether or not you will actually get to see a blue whale.   We go out each day for 6 to 8 hours.  There are more than a dozen whale species we might encounter during the day.  When we observe a spout or hear a blow, we then reposition the boat to be near the whale.  From a distance we cannot tell species easily.   If we happen to come upon a Fin whale they are approximately the same size and shape as a blue whale.  We must see the fin or get reasonably close to distinguish one from the other.  It would not make sense to rush from one spout to another if we happen upon whales that aren't the "blue".  So we spend some time with each whale we encounter.

We guarantee that your group will spot at least one cetacean.  

In the unlikely event that we do not see a cetacean during the trip, Baja Jones Adventures will refund $300 of your full fare trip price.
