Isla Holbox, the Mexican Whale shark capital of the northern hemisphere
Join Baja Jones, a leader in Mexican wildlife encounters, as we swim and snorkel with the world's largest fish.  Exciting action in the morning, lazy afternoons in a beachside hammock.  No cars, no cell phones, no worries when we plan a trip. taxi 2.0.jpg (24846 bytes) flamingos.jpg (26563 bytes) Since we first started our whale shark tours here the island has become more crowded each season.  Tourist populations have doubled and tripled each of the last 5 years.  Because of this tourist stampede and because the Mexican operators are beginning to let the dollar signs change the laid back attitude that prevailed here for many years we have shifted our primary focus to a relatively "undiscovered" whale shark location that Keith believes is superior in every way to Holbox Island.  Donsol, in the Philippines is now our first choice location.  Click here to read and see more about this RELAXED and very excellent dive spot.

There is no scheduled Holbox Island trip on our schedule this season.  We will gladly do a special tour date for parties of 4 or more.  Price for the all inclusive 5 day tour is $1,795 per person.

Imagine a small island with no cars allowed.  Barefeet, bicycles and golf carts are the order of the day here.  Hundreds of Coconut palms sway in the afternoon breeze.  The water is just a few steps from your room.  Sip Margaritas in the late afternoon while reliving the excitement of swimming with the world's largest shark.

We specialize in all inclusive tours to Holbox Island.  We go there to swim and dive with whale sharks.  We were one of the first tour operators to take snorkelers to Holbox Island.  Since 2002 we have been visiting this small island.
To get there you will fly in to the Cancun Airport.  We meet you there.   From then on leave the details to us.  No worries about logistics or about whether or not the boat will be there and if you will even see a whale shark.  We guarantee that you will!

For those of you who enjoy birds, this place is tops.   Right next to Holbox Island is the tiny point of land known as Isla Pajaros or Bird Island.  Designated as a bird sanctuary with no landings permitted, the viewing is done from just offshore.  Many exotic tropical and sub-tropical species are found here.  This is the time of year when pink flamingos may be seen in the area.

We suggest not planning any trips to Holbox after August because of the possibility of tropical storms or hurricanes.
