Here are photos from past volunteer groups. These photos are very typical of what our clients can expect during their four day time period at the Bifengxia Panda Preserve

.Our China and the Panda volunteers range in age from 8 upwards. Whether or not a youngster will be allowed to work alone or must work with a parent or other adult is a decision of the Panda Staff. Usually children 6 to 10 work with a parent or grandparent. Those 11 and older sometimes work alone if that is what they want to do.

For me, mornings are the most interesting time at the Bifengxia Panda Preserve. The Pandas know they will receive fresh moist bamboo and the special panda bread. The bus loads of tourists that come and go all day, don't normally arrive until 10 AM, so morning can be a contemplative time for someone who chooses not to do the volunteer work. I usually just walk around and watch you all work!

There is no age minimum for this volunteer program. Very young children are assigned based upon their apparent demeanor and personality.

As you can see from the photos on this page, some youngsters REALLY enjoy working hard while they are at the Panda Preserve.

But you do not have to do any work to take advantage of this special program.
