Compare tour locations and the three Baja Lagoons

Day # 1 : Arrival in Loreto day. We meet you at the Loreto, B.C.S. Airport and your adventure begins. Most people fly into Loreto using Horizon Air (Alaska Airlines) flight from Los Angeles direct to Loreto. After getting situated in your rooms at the El Dorado, we meet for dinner and an orientation talk by our own Baja Jones.

Day 2: We meet for breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and then the group leaves Loreto and drives across the Peninsula to the town of Guerrero Negro and Laguna Ojo de Liebre on the West Coast of Baja. We make a leisurely drive with time to stop for a couple photo ops along the way. Lunch is usually early in the day at our favorite grilled chicken restaurant in the town of Santa Rosalia

Day 3: Breakfast is at 7:00 am then we depart for whale watching at 8:00 a.m. We normally begin our first of two whale watching boat trips around 9:30. The boat trips are normally around 2 hours duration. Regulations allow 1 1/2 hours in the viewing area.

Aftr the first trip on the water you will enjoy a buffet style lunch spread there on the shore of the lagoon. You will see spouting and jumping whales while you sit and eat lunch. One of the only places in the world like this.
Today following breakfast we venture to the outer lagoon.  There we expect to see more mating adults than previous days.  Possibly closer views and more viewing of breaching and tails.  Probably less babies will be seen up close.  Afterwards we will relax at Marios Palapa Restaurant while sipping margaritas and a truly Mexican bar-b-que.  Margaritas, carne asada, chicken, guacamole, baked potatoes and a nice sunset will end another exciting day of whale watching.

The second boat trip generally finishes around 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. We return to the motel and there are usually 1 to 3 hours of free time before we meet at 6:00 p.m. for dinner..

Day 4: We meet for breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and the group then departs for whale watching at 8:00 a.m. Today is expected to be a repeat of Day #2. We return to that same location for two more boat trips.

Day #5 : Breakfast will be at 8:00 a.m. Then we depart for Loreto around 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. Our lunch stop will be in the town of Santa Rosalia at the Pollo Real for the best roast chicken in Baja.

We expect to arrive back in Loreto around 3:00 or 4:00 pm. This gives you enough time for some last minute souvenir shopping before dinner.

Day 6: Today is departure day. Everyone is on their own time to eat breakfast and pack to leave. Most clients leave on the Alaska Airline flight at around 2 PM. We arrange your transport from the hotel to the airport.
